The only work restriction? You can stay with one employer for a maximum of six months. Then you switch, a natural way to genuinely get to know Australia.

The 462 for Czech and Slovak nationals requires a minimum of 2 years of university study or a completed Bachelor's degree. If you don't have that, the alternatives are the Student Visa 500 with an ELICOS or VET course, or a partner visa if you have a partner in Australia. We work through this with you in a consultation.
If your university studies were in English, a letter from the school is enough. Otherwise the simplest route is IELTS (minimum 4.5 average, minimum 4.0 in each component) or OET, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or Cambridge.
Yes, if you find an employer who will hire you. The limit is 6 months with one employer. The 462 does not require Australian recognition of your qualifications, but the practical right to work depends on the profession (health, teaching, and construction roles have specific registrations).

The 500-place quota opens with each financial year (1 July). For the highest chance, lodge as soon as possible after it opens while places are available. If the quota is exhausted, you wait for the next financial year.
Yes, multiple entry is permitted. You can, for instance, work 4 months in Sydney, fly home for Christmas, and come back. The visa is valid for 12 months from your first entry into Australia.
The Australian minimum wage is A$24.95 per hour (2026). At full-time (38 hours per week) that's roughly A$3,800 per month before tax. Skilled work pays more; seasonal agricultural work pays less, but often includes accommodation.
