Working holiday is a year of work and travel with no compulsory study. It is once in a lifetime and for ages 18 to 35. A student visa is for study, lets you work 25 hours a week and lasts as long as your course, even years. In a consultation we tell you which one fits your plan.
We take care of your first days after landing: airport pickup, accommodation, bank account, IRD number, SIM, and help finding work and long-term housing. You land and do not have to sort everything alone.
For the working holiday visa the government fee is around NZD 455 and you must show at least NZD 4,200 to start. For the student visa the fee is around NZD 850 and funds of around NZD 20,000 a year. Plus insurance and a flight for both. We quote our services in a consultation. Always check the exact government fees with New Zealand immigration, rates change.
Usually a few weeks. Immigration sometimes asks for a chest x-ray, a medical exam or a police certificate. That is why it is worth starting well before your planned departure.
You do not need a language certificate for the visa. But the application is in English and you have to get by at work. If you are not confident, start with a course in Auckland. We arrange the placement.
In some industries, mainly seasonal work, you can apply to extend the working holiday visa if you are still in the country and your current visa is valid. We go through it once you have your dates.
What counts is your age when you apply. If you are 35 you can still make it, but do not delay. After your 36th birthday you no longer qualify.
