Let’s start by saying that Sydney as such is called The City, the rest of it are suburbs, near or far away from it.
So, you will have the City or Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, Sutherland Shire and the Inner West.Let’s start with Sydney CBD!
Some of the places you´ll find here:
- Barangaroo is an exciting are with fantastic parkland. Is a really nice area to have a romantic dinner or a great lunch, as it has beautiful and delightful restaurants!
- Chinatown and Haymarket you´ll absolutely enjoy it! If you want souvenirs, this is the place; they offer everything and anything in a low price.
- Circular Quay, this is going to be a point of reference for you, you can catch the ferries from here, and of course is absolutely stunning! The Opera House and the Harbour Bridge will take your breath away!
- City Centre you can find a whole range of attractions here, such as Hyde Park, Sydney Tower Eye (the Highest in Sydney)…
- Darling Harbour do you remember Finding Nemo? Here is the location! Get mesmerized by the beautiful view, the incredible waterfront restaurants, Sea Life and so much more.
- Kings Cross enjoy its innovative restaurants, hip bars in this vibrant streets.
- Potts Point and Woolloomooloo have fun in the famous Finger Wharf, have a great time in these unique restaurants!.
- Pyrmont get here by walking through Darling, you´ll find two of Sydney’s best parks – Pirrama Park and Pyrmont Point Park.
- Sydney Harbour “It’s a natural playground for Sydneysiders and visitors for sailing, swimming, diving and walking around its foreshore”. Absolutely amazing!
- The Rocks heritage walks, restaurants and bars, museums, shopping and of course events that take place in this historical place.
- Walsh Bay a place of plays and lovely restaurants in the finger wharves.
- Central Find your train, bus or light rail in this huge hub, you´ll definitely find your way here!! This place is connected to the whole city (and of course, go to other cities such as Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane)
Looking for a breath taking landscape? Then try to find a place near the water that means, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay.
Would you like to be near from everything? The city center.

- Living in the City is usually known for small places to live with a lot of people. So, make sure to allow plenty of time to find a good place for you.
- Find a place that´s near the supermarket: this is one of the most convenient advises!
- Find a place near a bus stop and a train or light rail station.
